How do I display an "Under Construction" message to my website visitors?
To display (or remove) the "Under Construction" message to your website visitors, just follow these simple steps:
- Log into your Intranet Management area
- Click on "Preferences and Security" under Tools on your intranet menu bar
- Select the Public Website Preferences" option
- Check the Publish Website option to display the "Under Construction" message to website visitors (or uncheck the option to make your website accessible to the public again)
- Click the "Update Information" button to save your changes.
Even though the public will not be able to view your site while this option is checked, you can still view your website as if were still available to the public by clicking on the "View My Website" icon (magnifying glass) at the top right of your Intranet Management Screen next to the "Logout" icon (red X). In this way, you can check out your edits prior to publishing your site online for public viewing.
