Logging in, Profile and Security, Changing Your Website Design
The first step in managing your website is logging in and getting comfortable with your website intranet (your website management area). Your website intranet username and password was sent to you in the "Welcome" message you received when you signed up for your website. You will also receive a reminder with each daily tutorial (email version only). If you forget your username or password in the future - don't panic. You can always click on the "Forgot Password" option and we'll send your information to you via email. Ready? Let's get started! Go to your website intranet URL now - you will be presented with a login screen. You'll need to enter your username and password (remember that usernames and passwords cannot contain spaces and passwords are case sensitive) and click the "Login" button.
You'll also see a checkbox below the text boxes for entering your username and password that says, Remember My Login Info. If you check that box, it allows your username and password to be pre-populated on subsequent visits to your INTRANET. |
Your Website Intranet Your Intranet Home page (the first screen you see after logging in) contains lots of valuable information you'll want to take a look at each time you login. Today "At a Glance" gives you calendar events and tasks due for the day and The "Quick Web Stats" shows you how many visitors you've had today (we'll discuss Website Statistics in more detail in tutorial 9). You will also find news and system updates on this screen. Watch the "What's New?" section for recent questions and answers and new features! Your website intranet and home page is customized for you, so your screen may look slightly different than the sample displayed here. Always displayed across the top of the Intranet window, you'll see the Intranet Main Menu. You can use the Intranet Menu to access different areas of your website Intranet. Feel free to explore the Intranet menu at your leisure. We will be discussing many of the options on your Intranet menu during the rest of tutorial. Sample Intranet Main Menu
Coaching Pages Each menu option on the Intranet Main Menu will display a "Coaching" page for that section. Coaching pages are designed to help you learn about the options and features of each section of your intranet. As you become more familiar with your website intranet, you can skip the coaching pages and jump directly to the screen you need by using the "submenus" available for each section.
Account Profile Information Your account profile is important since many of your website defaults and display information uses the information on this screen. You can update the name, address and phone number displayed on your website by changing the information on this screen. This is also the information that we use to contact you, so be sure to keep this information updated! To access the Account Profile screen follow the steps below. - Click on "My Account" on the LifeLine Menu
